Music has always been a catalyst for social change. B. Lilly's latest single, "Dear America" (featuring Opal Staples), was written during his senior year at Lawrence University, and released to culminate Black History Month. The lyrics are inspired by his experiences as a young, black man along with the senseless murders of so many of our brothers and sisters. "Dear America" is for them.

But, this is not just a song; it's a call to action! For more information on the #DEARAMERICA project and how you can get involved, drop your email below.

Dear America,

Dear America...

Learn from your mistakes. The people who built and nurtured your country are still hurting in more ways than you will ever believe.

Progress and change can only come if we start to listen to each other and show kindness and grace to those around us. Be curious and lean into a growth mindset. Empower others, be generous with your time and talent, and celebrate diversity whenever possible. Be an example so future generations will continue the mission of spreading love and understanding.
